There out to some type of law out there, that states when "customers" come into a store 5 minutes before closing, and mess everything up, try things on, ect...THEY SHOULD HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING!!! We had customers come in last night about 4 minutes before closing. I shut the music off, then 1 of them sarcastically said
"Oh, I guess they must be closing." I politely informed them that we would be closing in 5 minutes. They left and on the way out said, "Is the mall going to throw us out next?" For the last hour we had folks come in and mess things up, try things on, and not buy a darn thing! Christopher&Banks is REALLY fussy about how the store looks, so it's not like we can just let things go. Everything has to be sized, all tickets must be tucked in, eveything has to be colorized, the collars tilted, and the sleeves fanned back. A big job! Then,
when inconsiderate people come in and mess it up, it can be frustrating. The best one was when a woman came in with her child, and the child went through the racks and started untucking all the tickets we just tucked in. I could go on for hours about rude people, and their kids! Then there are the nice folks, who are just a joy to wait on! There is never a "constant" in retail and no 2 days are ever the same! The public is always interesting....
Not too much going on lately. The weather has been icky and rainy. It think I would rather have it cold and the sun out, then warm and damp all the time. I seem to have this sore throat-congestion thing I can't get rid of.
The big Super Bowl is this week! It is being hosted in Detroit! For those of you who don't know, I don't live too far from Detroit. Of course, the media hype is cray! I am starting to feel lame because I am not going downtown, to the superbowl, or attending any type of "superbowl" activity. The Winter Blast is also going on too. How can you have a winter fest, without snow and cold weather??? The parking rates are suppposed to be terrible! Yep, I think I will be avoiding the area all togeater!
I am off today, and it feels good. I work tomorrow, but I am off my 5:00, then I get Sunday off. I am
looking foreward to it all.
Everyone have a good week!
