malnpudl has some sort of stealth weaponry up her sleeves or in her fingers or something.
We met in the BtVS fandom, Buffy/Giles to be exact, and after awhile, she started talking about the SG-1 thing and this Canadian production Slings and Arrows, and despite her enthusiasm, I resisted. How could it be as wonderful as she said? How could it be as wonderful as I wanted it to be? I had the Jossverse. What did I need with another fandom?
Couple of years ago, I started in on Slings and Arrows and wondered why the hell I didn't watch them sooner. I DEVOURED those shows. I thanked her profusely. In fact, I should probably bake her something roughly the size of Ottowa.
About three-four months ago, I tore through the entire SG-1 canon and then humbly asked for some recommendations.
She very nicely didn't gloat, but forked over her shiniest links.
I asked for comfort fic last night and she sent me Due South recs, despite the fact that I've never seen Due South, but I HAVE seen Paul Gross, so, hey, what's not to love, and she's never steered me wrong.
She's also taking care of making sure I have copies of all the episodes. And she sent me shiny shiny links. I've been reading all afternoon.
I'm in love with Fraser and RayK already and I haven't even SEEN the show yet. Or Paul Gross in the uniform.
Thanks, Mal. I shall never, ever ever doubt or resist again. You know best.
