After weeks and weeks of planning for my special Sweet Sixteenth party, the ultimate day finally arrived. With a theme of "Hollywood Glamour", I slipped on a dress and a pair of black gloves. My outfit was supposed to represent Paris Hilton/Marilyn Monroe (I couldn't decide between the two!).
Dad and I picked up Grace, Alice and Yoland from the train station. Grace was “Jane Smith” (from ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’) and Alice simply looked dashing dressed as the ‘famous Alice’! Eventually everyone turned up. Guests included Trisha, Anna, Mary, Anne, Alice, Grace, Patty, Nina, Yoland, Jessica, Nikki, Justine, Christina, Sam, Shirley, Linda, Amy, Sophia, and Tien!
Girls who stood out from the crowd were Grace, Alice, Mary (who created her own beautiful dress), Anne (just simply adorable), Christina (looking elegant as usual), Sam (could anyone beat her magnificent image as Audrey Hepburn?), Shirley (totally a WOW WOW as Sandy from ‘Grease’!!), Amy (so creative and cute) and Tien (super pretty)!
Luckily so many party goers brought along their cameras (thanks paparazzi) and snapped up hot pictures! My friends placed their gifts under the Christmas tree (yes - the Christmas tree), and headed off to munch on barbecued food. Soon later, the piñata was brought out and most of us took turns hitting it while being blindfolded. Samantha finally smashed the piñata hard enough for everyone to come rushing towards the fallen candy! The moment everyone ran out was like a “force of impact”.
Prizes were given out to the best dressed girls, who were Samantha, Shirley, Amy, Tien, and Alice. Shirley especially enjoyed her Piccachu plushie, which squeaked it’s own name three times when pressed on the tummy!
We all cat-walked up and down in the living room in our high heels, exaggerating our moves. On one instance, a group of us pranced up, and then all purposely fall down! It was hilarious!
The chocolate birthday cake was enjoyed by many! After my friends sang “Happy Birthday” to me, they all cheered and whooped their lungs out so loudly, I literally had to block my ears! =]
So I find it a pleasure to present a HUGE thank you to all my gorgeous, and unique friends, for allowing me to have such a wonderful, magical night! It would not have been possible without you guys! I love you all!! Thank you also, to my out-of-this-world parents who put in so much effort, time and money to ensure that this night would be a success! It was absolutely memorable! I love you both so so much, mum and dad! Mwah!
Thank you to everyone for being amazing and for being such a perfect part of my life!
