bondi, Bondi, BONDI BEACH!!! <3
Diving into the surf, leaping high for the cameras, posing shamelessly, ducking into and out of multiple stores… These are just a few of the fantastic things Shirley, Sam, Grace and I did at Bondi Beach today.
From Bondi Junction, a bus trip took the four of us to Bondi Beach. As there were barely any available seats on the bus, most of us stood in the aisle. During the journey, the bus came to a sudden halt, but unfortunately Grace’s hand missed the pole and she ended up slapping some poor guy on the face instead! Sam commented that he looked strangely happy, and I noticed he even turned around to show his girlfriend where he had been slapped.
Upon our arrival at Bondi Beach, we changed into our swimwear and immediately hit the beach. Although the weather wasn’t the perfect sunny atmosphere that we all would have preferred, I won’t complain, since it was warm enough for me to hop around in my bikini without experiencing a whiff of chill. In addition to that, even without any sunscreen on, not one of us got tanned (thank goodness for that)! It was a wonderful day for the beach! Apart from a few seconds of sprinkles from the sky, there was no rain to spoil the day!
While my friends built sandcastles, I fetched my beloved camera. The four of us girls enjoyed jumping photos (where you jump up high, and the photographer attempts to capture you in mid-air), and our hyperactive Grace even planted a kiss on a statue’s cold, rock face.
After a stroll along the shops in Bondi, we were back on the bus to Bondi Junction for quality shopping time! I gobbled down a Chinese lunch consisting of sweet and sour pork and Mongolian lamb. When we were finished with our three-hour shopping around Westfield, we all headed home in our different directions to give our poor, aching feet a most-needed rest…
