Second day of Botcon was just as fun as the first, but definitely less crowded. No wait in line that time to buy a ticket to get in. The time had come for me to finally show off my Slo-Mo cosplay. My buddy
toonqueen dressed up as humanized Swindle, so we were the dynamic duo of crime.
I had fun dressing up as Slo-Mo. A lot of people recognized me and liked my costume. It was nice receiving all those compliments on my hard work. c: Of course there were a few people who didn't know who Slo-Mo was but that' happens. Even happened last year when I dressed up as Sari.
So most of that day was spent shopping in the dealers room and getting good deals on toys. Got lots of good stuff this year. Yup yup.
The most unexpected was when I got a call the previous day from one of the booths at the con telling me I won a drawing. For a while I couldn't figure out which one it was until they called me back. The guy was like ' we're the one with the giant lego Optimus Prime.' Turned out it was the Kre-O booth. I totally forgot they were the only drawing that I entered that I gave my phone number to. lol. So yeah I won the Bumblebee Kre-O set. It's pretty awesome. I'll have to put it together sometime. :D
There were only 2 panels I went to that day. First one was the G1 Voice Actor panel. It was pretty cool. There was Greg Berger, Michael McConnohie, Morgan Lofting, Neil Ross and Arlene Banas. Got all they're autographs minus Neil Ross that weekend. I had Greg Berger sign my world's tiniest Grimlock. hehe. :3 Still think it's funny how Michael McConnohie said it's nobody's business if Tracks did any Decepticons, ahahah. I also thought it was pretty cute that Arlene wouldn't mind getting cast as movie Carly's grandma. D'awww. It was also at that panel that one of the writers for TFA (I think it was TFA) noticed me and
toonqueen sitting in the second row and we got a picture with him. c:
The last panel of the day was the costume panel which I didn't really participate in at all. Probably should've skipped it all together since I didn't even sit up front for anyone to notice me. Oh well.
But someone did notice me at the very end of the day. And he asked to have his picture taken with me. Ok, at first I didn't realize who he was. Of course I mentioned that I was happy that someone else had recognized Slo-Mo. And then he said "Well I should, I did design her". That was when I did a double take that everyone is still laughing about cause I finally realized it was Derrick Wyatt, character designer for Transformers Animated. To be fair I had never really saw a real picture of him before, only a cartoon characterization he's done of himself, which is why I didn't recognize him. :| Also I didn't really stare right at him when he asked it was when I turned to him that I noticed his name tag too. lol. But yeah, Derrick was a bro. He really liked my costume rendition of Slo-Mo. So I guess you can say it was Derrick Wyatt approved. Yay. ;)
We look good. yup yup. But of course by the time that picture was taken a few of my watches had broke, so I told Derrick that they were at the watch repair shop. lol. By the time the next con rolls around I'll have everything fixed and I might even go as Sari again if I get around to redoing her jetpack. Who knows I might even attempt at cosplaying as Miko. That should be interesting. c:
To be concluded....
