Chopsticks

Jan 11, 2007 20:10

I haven't been writing very much this week. Instead I've been reading. I finally started reading Odd Thomas today...and...am almost about halfway through. Makes for much quicker reading than Stranger and OAFK. Koontz rocks.

Anyway...uh...on the writing thing. As I mentioned before, I haven't been writing much. I have, however, been going back and revising earlier chapters of Abaddon. I finally gave it that run-through I was going on about somewhere or to someone. SO much stuff that needs to be fixed. It makes me almost glad that I haven't quite finished coloring the first chapter yet.

Now for some entertaining stuff:

Apparently Dante's nose didn't look exactly how people have previously pictured?
...and...
A chopstick entrance exam

The chopstick one reminded me of a brief conversation with korochan about the names of Japanese restaurants. Namely:

Sakura Tokyo
Teriyaki

On new years, driving past others furthered a conclusion:

Bisuteki Steakhouse
Sake

A conclusion which was solidified by examples given by Karen:

Osaka
Tepanyaki Steakhouse
Tokyo Steakhouse
Sarku Japan

The conclusion? Karen knows WAY too many Japanese food places. No, just kidding. The real conclusion was that the names of Japanese restaurants just aren't very original. I think I'll just go make a salad or something.

Oh, one more thing. I have a $10 gift card to Barnes and Noble but I have NO idea what book(s) to use it on. Any suggestions? Kthxwhatev.

Peace out, ladies.

books, articles, abaddon
