Good bye wisdom teeth
I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday. One of them as impacted. The dentist told me that I might die and he made me sign a waiver.
The anesthetic didn't work on my lower jaws for some reasons. So it went like this:
1. Anesthetic injected through big scary needle.
2. Upper portion of mouth went numb. It felt so weird, like I have a metal plate in my mouth pressing down on me.
3. *Poke* *Poke* "Can you feel this?"
4. Me: wwwwwwwwwwah! YES, I CAN FEEL IT! OMG!!!!
5. "Oh, give her two more shots!"
6. *Poke* *Poke* "Can you feel this?"
7. Me: OMG!!!! I NEED MORE ANESTHETIC!!!!
8. More anesthetic injected and I was finally numbed.
9. "Don't swallow! These are slippery teeth!"
10. *Yank* *Yank* *Yank* "Three teeth are out!"
11. *Spent 10 minutes working on last impacted tooth*
12. *Sigh* "Let's take an x-ray"
13. *Inserted super uncomfortable crap into the back of my mouth, made me tilt my chin up as high as possible* I felt like I was in a torture chamber and they're trying to get stately secrets out of me while sweet talking to me "You're doing great! Much better than the average patient! Just one more second!"
14. *Spent another 10 minutes trying to break the tooth*
15. *Sigh* "Your tooth is really densed!"
16. *Spent another 10 minutes on it*
17. X-ray
18. *Spent another 10 minutes on it*
19. "Hold her jaw!"
20. *Spent more time on it*
21. X-ray. I almost threw up because it was sooo far back.
22. X-ray. Aw man, just because I gagged now we have to take it again.
23. *Sew* *Sew* *Sew* *Sew*
24. *Stuffed my mouth full of gauze(???)*
25. "...And we're done! You did great! Let me show you your x-ray. I didn't damage your nerve, see that? Your nerve is intact and you didn't die! Any question?"
26. Me: blubbb blubbb blubbb...
27. "This is a sheet telling you when to rinse and what to do, etc. There's my home phone number. Call me if you have any question. Here are some antibiotics and pain killers!"
....and this is the result!
