Mon: 60 min on the elliptical
Tues: 5 miles
Wed: 11 miles
Thurs: 5 miles
Fri: rest
Sat: 3 miles
Sun: 11.6 miles
Total: 35.6 miles
I woke up Thursday with the sore throat thing going on, and by Friday felt generally tired and worn down as well. Saturday's 3 miles just about debilitated me... I ran them at a quick pace and when I got home, passed out on the living room floor for a half hour.
Today, I slept in and then rested in bed until about 3:30 when I got up to take a shower and go run. I headed out about 4:!5. It was quite a bit cooler than yesterday's run. I had planned 12 miles, but I got spontaneous and changed my route mid-run. I wasn't sure of my mileage but it ended up to be 11.6 miles. Close enough!
Now I have a taper week before my half marathon on Sunday. I believe it's 4 miles Tues, 3 Wed, and 2 Thurs. This should also give me time to rest up and get healthy for Sunday. If I can do 11.6 miles not feeling 100%, BRING ON THE HALF MARATHON!!!
