Warnings/Spoilers/Notes: Elliot totally wants George and you know it.

With glazed eyes, Elliot studied the scars on his hands. They were a constant reminder that his intensity could be bottled up only so long, and would have to be freed, one way or another. He often thought of it as a rubber band being stretched tautly, becoming more tense and volatile as it is pulled ever tighter. Inevitably, it would break-unless the pressure should be unleashed in one quick, simple moment of liberation.

After a few seconds of lingering, those glazed eyes fell upon George. George wouldn't know how he felt. Even his perceptive mind couldn't grasp what it was like to be afraid of snapping, afraid of losing control. Elliot tried to imagine Huang experiencing the rush of adrenaline that precedes throwing a man against the wall. The kind that requires the mustering all of his will power just to resist landing a stinging blow on that certain someone's chops.

Remembering what people often said about opposites and attraction, Elliot couldn't help but smile to himself. Elliot and George: night and day. Stabler and Huang: black and white. Actually, he questioned whether it was true that opposites attract. If it had as much accuracy as people seemed to think, why weren't he and George together?

Maybe he had just been avoiding the facts. Maybe "they" were wrong for once.

Elliot broke his entranced gaze and peered down at his paper-cluttered desk, then at George again. No way, he thought. "They're" never wrong about matters of infatuation. Ever.
