Strange, but good..
This last week has been strange, but good. I've been really busy because of the speech competition and it being the end of the month, I've been busy typing away writing, lesson plans, lesson summaries, report cards and who knows what else. I'm almost finish - thank god! I just have to go into work a bit early to do some finishing touches - THEN PRINT! Oh god I can't wait to click that button! It's quite sad, but this month, my enthusiasm for report cards was quite lousy. They're so messy and not really well thought out, but for once, I don't care!
Friday night, I took it easy cuz I had to meet with the rugrats for the speech competition early Saturday morning. After realising that I was wasting my time, and that we weren't getting anything done, I cut it early and went home. I took the longest nap ever that day! I woeke up so drousy with so much to do and no time to do it in.
I went to Walmart, picked up some stuff for Saxon's party and got to cooking. I made a nice green leaf salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumber and red peppers mixed with a variety of lettuce. And the piece de resistance...I've been getting crates upon crates of fruit and muffins and cakes from my students lately, and I don't eat fast enough, so I brought some to the party...
I made chocolate covered strawberries, some with a tinkle of white chocolate. They were to die for! Not one was left - I made 2 lbs worth! I'm pretty sure a few people gained quite a few pounds this weekend...including myself. Luckily...after Thursday, I will be finished all my side projects, including the pen pals, and I will be able to return to the gym! God knows summer is coming, and I'd look hideous in a bikini right now!
Sunday, I met up with the boys to go to Yongsan. Its strange, I was the one pushing to make it quick, but as I was the one making the most expensive purchase, I seemed to slow the group down a bit. After a few hours, I finally made up my mind. It wasn't what I'd planned to get, but still the same company!
I bought a Nikon 7900 digital camera with 7.1 megapixels and an ED lens. If I take your picture, I can see your nose hairs! The zoom is fucking awesome on that thing! The best thing is that I planned on it putting a huge dent on my wallet, but really, it was just a little scar! Sadly, it did put a dent on my investment plans, but I get paid this afternoon, so no complaints here!
Now, I think it's time I buckle up and paid my bills! Stupid heat!
