Time off work :D :D :D
I applied for some time off work last week, and I got a call on Saturday telling me that I'd got it. Awesome. I got Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off. I plan to spend those days vegging out at Iains house. I like going to Iains house, I can just go there and chill out, and no one seems to mind me hanging round. Also, I especially enjoyed this weekend, as Iain and me started jamming again properly, as we're in a band again.
We met the band at a bar up the road last week. They're two oldish guys who's band just left them, so they asked us to fill in for them. We practiced for the first time on Sunday, and it was fucking brill, we met up at the local community centre and practiced for 5 solid hours. I got a chance to really play the shit out of my new bass, and my fingers were killing me afterwards, but it was pretty fun. Hopefully, we'll get some gigs soon. We cover old stuff like UFO, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, etc, stuff thats before my time, but it's still good.
We signed up for broadband internet access at home last week, too. Usually, I only get to use the internet when I got to Iains, but pretty soon I'll have it all the time, so I'll be on AIM and MSN a lot more (which is good, as I tend to miss people when they come online).
I miss Danielle :-( She hasn't been online for a while, and we haven't talked on the phone for ages, as she's moved house, and I don't have her new number. I love her, she's awesome <3
