mmm..... bass.....
OMFG I bought a new bass on Friday, and it is the most awesome thing I have ever owned. It was a bargain, too, because it was second hand, I got it for less than half the price it should have been, and it should have been fucking expensive. I'll put some pictures up, if I can.
I went to the pub on Thursday, and met some people who want to jam with Iain and me. They're both around 30-40, and are in a band that covers old stuff like Black Sabbath, Blondie, David Bowie and stuff like that. They just lost their guitarists and bass player, so they are looking for new ones. So now Iain, his dad (!) and me are going to fill in for them. Iains dad plays guitar also.
I took the day off work on Thursday as well, becuase I just couldn't face going in. for the past two weeks, work has been a drag, and has been really getting me down, but the day off was very refreshing. I hope I get somewhere with this band, becuase music is my first love, and without music I'm lost, so having a boring 9-5 job for the rest of my life is not an option. I want to do interesting things, and travel the world and meet the cool people I know.
