Today I finally took that trip to Aspen. I've lived in Colorado for over 6 years and have yet to make it out to Aspen. I figured that a.) I was too a.) midwestern b.)middle class to enjoy it, which is still true, but I did enjoy it. According to my friend, its less pretentiously rich than Vail, so that was nice. I've never been to Aspen but I've driven from Denver to Telluride through Ouray which is just breathtaking. And I almost hit a black bear on the road which was scary.

And my ex-boyfriend and I laughed forever about driving through the Johnson Tunnel there because we're five. (Seriously, I don't even know how we were allowed to board a plane by ourselves.)

I almost bought a house a few years ago in Denver. Sigh. I wanna go back now... :(

Also I ate one of the most memorable meals of my life (for good reasons) at a restaurant called Rioja in Denver. One of those nights where you can remember every single thing you ate and drank. UNF

I don't remember, it was in a cute little restaurant-y area but we relied on GPS.
But it was amazing. Non cheap, but back then I was much more decently funded sugar daddy Mmmm...
