Recital and work

Singing recital was last night. Freaked out the entire day, even during Phil's graduation lunch party, humming scales and random snippets of lyrics to keep my voice ready. By the time we got to the school, I was a wreck. Took my seat in the concert room, heart pounding, hands starting to get numb/tingly like they were falling asleep (which mildly bothered me. Felt like I was under novocaine or something)... I was third to go. Started out not so great- quiet, nervous, the whole deal. Had two moments where I really wanted to quit, but I pulled through in the end, and actually finished well. The last minute, I think, was the best. ('Cause by that time, I was so numb I could care less that there were people, and I just tried to get louder. <.<)

Relieved that it's over, but it was actually a lot of fun, and I can't wait to do it again. Everyone said I did really well (though I don't think I did, compared to the others. Good for a first performance, I guess), which was nice. I think I'm most proud that I sang at all. To be honest, the people being there was the least of my worries. I was just afraid that I couldn't control my voice because of my body being weird. William's proud of me. :)

In other news, the novels are keeping us busy. I'm trying to finish a timeline of the stories and significant events today (though birthdays will have to be added in gradually as I discover new characters). I'm interspersing this with prompt work, cycling through all the stories, setting/character sketches, and hopefully I'll get to planning/solidifying plots of all five this week. Don't plan on FINISHING all the plots, but at least getting started would be nice. (Though I really want to get a job, I'm starting to wonder if that'd be a good idea anymore, seeing as I have so much writing work to be doing. <.<)

Anyway, I've had a nice break and should probably be getting back to work. Hope you all are having a good time out there! (Any of you doing any cool summer stuff, or is it too early for that yet?)
