Hmm I suppose it must have been a sort of...awkward situation for Paul? We all know the bitchfest he had had while Stu had still been alive, so maybe he didn't really know how to behave then. Also, none of us, not even Klaus or Astrid, know what happened when they were alone. Both Klaus and Astrid always seemed slightly cool with Paul, so, you know....

This is exactly what I think.. in the end no one really knows what happened between four walls. I agree that it must have been akward for Paul.. like, really, really akward.

I can totally understand why Paul kept in the background at that time. I wouldn't pretend to suddenly like someone, and thus feel like a hypocrite, if I openly disliked that person before their death. :/

Absolutely, plus I do think that when Paul heard the news he thought about how bitchy they had been to each other. I'm sure he felt some sort of guilt, but there was not much to do about it then.
