(no subject)
Good grief.....how is it humanly possible that I haven't posted since FEBRUARY? I check my friends page every freaking day at least once, more if I'm procrastinating....and yet I fail miserably to keep my friends updated.
Oh right....that's probably why. I'm just sitting here thinking to myself, what has happened since Feb.....and all I can think of is things that happened in the past 1-2 weeks.
1) At least 2 people I know got married...couldn't go to either wedding....but I've seen a ton of pictures and they were both beautiful weddings.
2) Joe lost his job....funny story there! So the pseudo-short version: Thursday afternoon Joe walks to the soda machines, the same machines that sometimes give you a soda, sometimes don't, and sometimes give you multiple sodas....kinda like gambling....Anyway, he puts the money in, no soda comes out. Joe is understandably annoyed, hits the coin return, and nothing happens, frustrated he kicks the machine. Then, decides to shake it and hears money coming out so walks away. An hour later, the same machine starts kicking out free sodas. He comes home tells me about it, knowing it was on camera. Friday he goes to work and gets fired for "work place violence" it "would have been the same if you picked up a chair and threw it across the room" RETARDED right?!?! well anyone who hit the machine got fired, and I guess people took soda's as well and they got fired for theft.
However, no new job has yet come along. So, it will be full time summer school for him so that we have the GI Bill coming, and thus some money coming in.
3) We both finished our Spring Semesters. 2 years down, 2 more classes left to take and then it's just research!
4) NO CLASSES FOR 9 MONTHS !!!!! I will be doing strictly research for the time being. I have narrowed my dissertation focus and thus my research focus, which is EXCELLENT.
5) Joe and I are going to Galveston in a week! I am looking forward to a week away from this place.
6) I think our kitten is a new addition since my last post...she's adorable and is now 5 months old. She is psychotic if you ask me. Joe picked out the world's craziest most developmentally challenged cat ever. This is sometimes amusing and sometimes annoying.
7) In March the majority of my family came for a visit...all but Jonathon. There was 6 people staying in my apartment that usually holds 2...we managed! I prepared Easter Dinner for everyone....actually I planned to, but my family was really good about helping with various things, that I don't think I actually did anything, except maybe open the can of cranberry sauce.
My parents helped us pick up our newest piece of real furniture and we have a coffee table and 2 end tables for our living room. One day we will have a bedroom set....the one I want with all the parts I want is $1500 at Ashley Furniture.
I'm sure there is more...and I really am going to try to post more often!
