(no subject)
I have put job applications into multiple places for the past two weeks and ya know what I've heard back.............NOTHING!!! Just freaking give me a call to tell me no, and that would atleast give me some satisfaction. Where are all the jobs in Columbus?!?! Come on, this should not be hard....I'm a decent looking girl, smart, willing to work, and friendly this should not be this hard!!! I just put in an application to Lowe's so we'll see where that goes. Luckily I have a friend who works there who said he would recommend me but through all the lovely connections that people have offered none of them have worked! I need something to make my days consistent and get me back in to a productive routine.
On a positive note I had my first lesson of this summer with Dr. Martin and it was extremely encouraging. I have lost a lot from lack of practice but even so she said we had a "break through lesson." I am finally getting the concept of an internal rhythm and she is extremely excited, this is probably my biggest downfall in playing so hopefully my practice will take off. I also really like the Widor which I'm working on, and glad that she is not requiring me to keep memorizing...it takes so much time and little is accomplished, at least in my mind. I just get nervous and can't memorize.... Well, I better be off to do SOMETHING!
