Why does the United States even need the filibuster? It seems crazy that either party could stop legislation from moving forward, even if they have enough votes to pass it. If you read the Wiki on the filibuster, it's just stupid. This is something that really needs to change. If the majority of the Senate votes to pass legislation, it should pass. I just can't stand Republicans. It just seems that they stand for everything that's bad in this world. They would rather see the country fail then watch Democrats succeed. I used to be Republican at one point, but it just seems they are such an awful group of people (with a few exceptions). Makes me sick. I'm not crazy about Dems, but they aren't even on the same field.
