Looking at my funding, I've come to realize that I won't be able to go to the upcoming Atlanta Kotei. For those of you not in the know, Kotei are large regional tournaments for a card game named Legend of the Five Rings. I decided about three weeks ago that this event would be the last time I would play. I've grown bored with the game and it really doesn't provide any sort of rewards for winning.
But the Cougars, our playgroup, aren't taking the announcement well. Jeremy was the first to respond, which shocked me, because rather than trying to make a joke out of it he said he was saddened by my absense. Jeremy isn't the type of person to let much get to him, so I can only imagine how everyone else is taking it, as well. It breaks my heart to see so many people I've come to love be disappointed. I know they were planning something special because it was going to be my last time playing, and now they won't be able to do whatever they had planned for me.
I'm going to see what I can do to make it, but I can't make any sort of promises at this point.
