Dear Yuletide Author,
First of all, thank you SO MUCH for writing for me! You are already one of my favorite people in the world for writing any of these fandoms, and I’m sure I will love whatever you come up with. I wasn’t sure how detail-y to get in the sign-ups (this is my first Yuletide!), but hopefully if I wasn’t specific enough, this will help a bit.
Things that I like: Fanfic clichés. I loooooove fanfic clichés. Forced to share a bed, road trip, and pretending to married are my favorites, but I love all of them. Fics that take a cliché and give them a new, interesting spin are the best. I also really love banter and friendship and things that are a little angsty, but work out happily in the end. I almost never read fanfic for plot, but instead just really enjoy reading character interactions, so anything where characters are hanging out together would be perfect.
I like both gen and romantic stuff for all the fandoms I chose, so porn or no porn, either one is fine. My porn tastes do tend to run kind of towards the vanilla, though, so maybe no super-kinky sex in the fic?
Things I don’t like: Character bashing. I love all the characters in all the fandoms, so no bashing anyone, please. Also, non-con and dub-con are not my scene AT ALL, so none of that please.
Okay, on to the specifics (my request details from the sign-ups are in italics).
Pretty Woman: I would love either post-movie Vivian/Edward making it work in New York, or a pre-movie fic about Vivian's life at her "heavy metal home" in Milledgeville. This movie is my all-time favorite, so I would basically love you forever if you for wrote it. Especially if it kept the same unrealistically happy, "things will work out fine despite the fact that one of us is a 21-year-old prostitute and one of us is a 40-year-old elitist asshole" vibe that works so well in the movie. Please no extreme angst for this one; I'm weirdly invested in the fairy tale, happily-ever-after ending the movie promises.
It would be impossible for me to express how much I love this movie and the Vivian/Edward relationship. Everything about it is totally great to me (even though I know the premise is kind of problematic/gross), so a continuation of it would be the best thing in the world. I’d love to see a glimpse of their relationship in New York, and how Vivian fits in with his uptight NYC life, hopefully charming all of his friends/colleagues and getting her post-L.A. life together. I also have a secret desire for babyfic for this pairing so, ugh. That would be really, really great.
Stephanie Plum: No need to include all four characters--Stephanie alone or with any one (or two) of the others is fine. I'm more into Stephanie/Ranger than Stephanie/Morelli, but I'm not super-invested or anything, so any pairing works for me (except maybe Ranger/Morelli). Gen would also be wonderful.
So I really love Stephanie/Ranger, particularly because I feel like they’re an ideal match for fic clichés. The two of them on a road trip or forced to share a bed or, say, going undercover and pretending to be married would fulfill all of my dreams. Reading any of those scenarios with Morelli swapped out with Ranger would also be good, and I totally adore Lula, so if you could throw her in there somewhere along the way, that would be cool.
Parks and Rec: Augh, it was really hard for me to just pick 4 characters for this fandom! (So if you want to write about other characters in addition to one or two of these, that would be totally great).
My #1 fic-want for Parks and Rec is Leslie/Ron. But I'd be totally stoked to read Ann/Ron. Or Leslie, April, and Ann friend-fic. No need to include all four characters for this one (any two or more would be totally fine).
Leslie/Ron is my dream for this fandom. Their relationship on the show is just the best thing ever. So any fic that could take their pseudo-married relationship and make it an actually married (or even just an actually dating, or actually having sex) relationship would be awesome. One of my favorite relationship tropes is best friends who suddenly realize they’re in love, so. That would probably be awesome for Leslie/Ron. Friendship fic for these two would also be nice if you're not into the shipping thing.
Ann/Ron would also be super-interesting; Ann is amazing, and that episode where she and Ron join forces to fix everything in April/Andy’s crappy house is a DELIGHT.
Okay, I think that's it. And if any or all of these are too randomly specific, you can always just write about any two characters in any of these fandoms sitting around talking about stuff, and I'll be stoked.
