Today we saw about 164 patients at the clinic.  I counted & bagged again--I am feeling a lot better though and counting has slowed down, so I think I will be outside tomorrow.

Worship was very moving this morning--I felt very vulnerable.  I got asked to say Grace this morning at breakfast--my first response was "oh my!" but I didn't stumble or cry once.  A few complimented me when I was done.

Tried a new drink today--soursop juice.  It was *really* good.  We also had something called chicken eyes or cat eyes.  They are a small fruit about the size of a shooter marble that grows on a tree, green in color, you peel off the shell and inside is something similar to the inside of a grape.  There is a large seed in the middle.  When peeled it looks like an eyeball, hence the name.

My picture disks are just fine, so I dumped the photos on my camera and started over today.  I think I will dump it again before we leave here so I can have a whole memory card when we get to Siem Reap.

I bought sidewalk chalk for the children today but I haven't given it to them yet because the crew is painting the area of the concrete.  They got so much done today with the painting and will most likely be done with the outside downstairs tomorrow.

The kids have been telling us their names and trying to teach us their words.  We get it sometimes but I can never remember.  One boy, Bora, will say the word then you repeat it, then he says "again!" and this goes on until he thinks you've said it perfectly.

One young girl took me by the hand today and led me around for quite a while.  I said I was taking her home with me.  :o)

--Cynthia seems to be better today.

--In the evening we see people walking to the Mekong River to bathe--I guess many people don't have running water in their homes.

--I saw at least one homeless person today, possibly two.  I guess homelessness exists all over the world, even in the poorest of places.

--Saw a monkey today, tied to a chain.  Guess it was a pet.  Also took pictures of water buffalos and their babies.

We haven't gone to dinner yet so I'll write my prayers later...

God is so good--I got to talk to Larteek tonight.  He says the dogs are being good for him.  He needed more money, so hopefully that will stretch.  Devin is still gone...I called and left a message for mom & dad, wrote emails to some folks at work, and posted a message to one of my message boards.

Tonight I pray for continued ease for Larteek with the dogs, Greg & Tammy--I got an email from Mary Beth saying they needed it but nothing specific, the family of Martin Steed who has died since I've been gone (a childhood school friend), peace amongst the team--it seems there is some unrest among team members regarding work plans, and of course all the normal stuff the team needs prayer for.

--Can't wait to have service at the orphanage Sunday.

--We ran over a chicken today in the truck.  Well, a rooster really.  It flopped around a few seconds then laid still.  I'm sure someone had chicken for dinner.

--There are two geckos on the wall at the restaurant we eat at.  Tonight we were watching them chase bugs, cheering for them when they would catch one, keeping score like a sporting event.  You can tell entertainment is at a premium in Stung Treng.  LOL

--Our room has been a steady 82 degrees since we arrived, despite our supposed "AC".
