Oldest story in the book: boy meets girl. Boy loses girl. Boy meets computer.
New Friends: I've noticed some new people have friended me. Hello! I presume you are all readers of my fic, since I recognize most of the usernames from comments. My friending policy is generally that I friend everyone who friends me. This journal will contain only my writing, my writing related griping, and other fandom thoughts. I have a personal lj that I keep separate from this one, so there really shouldn't be any crossover of personal business.
Oz: I've decided to consolidate former chapter 19 and 18 into one big chapter, chapter 18 (a) and 18 (b). I've also decided to combine the next two parts I was I was planning to post separately, so they will become 18 (c) and 18 (d), and will be posted at the same time, probably on Sunday. I'm not sure when the next chapter will be posted after that--maybe sometime later during the week? We'll see.
Also, somewhat unrelatedly, I made a Banner for the fic to amuse myself. You can look at it yonder, at the Welcome to Oz master post of all the chapters.
The Snow Queen: I looked over what I had written already and realized I had nearly 7,000 words. WTF? I thought this fic might clock out at betwen 10-15k, but it looks like just the beginning THIRD of the story is going to be 10-15K. Sigh. Clearly, I am a lunatic for long stories who cannot help herself.
On the other hand, I did some writing yesterday and will hopefully finish up the first 1/3 of the story tonight. I've also done some pretty detailed plot planning that should help the rest of the writing go faster. Plus, structurally, I must say that the first 1/3 of the story is pretty cool--I don't know how the other 2/3rds are going to shape up, but I hope that I'm hitting the ground running with the story. This whole story may come out to be about 30-40k words, because I am insane. Hopefully, it won't be 30-40k words of drivel. Also, hopefully, my betas won't kill me for thrusting it upon them.
