I should give a Spooky update, for those following along at home. His surgery went well, and he'll finally be done with cage-rest this Wednesday. They gave me new, stronger meds for his constipation. It seems to be working to a degree, though it's really too soon to be sure. He's happy, alert, playful, a little clingy. I feel much more hopeful about the whole thing than I did last week.
