(no subject)
It's been an interesting few days. i'm really glad and lucky that i was done since the first day of exams. let me back track.
Today I ate breakfast then lunch back to back with multitudes of rotating people. Then me, amy, jen, and jon went driving around in jen's car with her rattling broken sound system. it was a raelly bright day and the country roads of mass were really pretty. so many lakes! as we were slowing down to stop by a stream, an old guy on a motor cycle ran into us and it was scary. Now i'll always associate "Be My Lover" with motor accidents. Luckily the guy was nice and we got to move onto bigger business like watching the rapids from a bridge and playing Pooh Sticks. Jon threw in a giant branch, laughing hysterically in true jon fashion and it stayed in the whirl pool for a really long time. We drove back and smoked cloves in the sun. It's so wierd how little we get to see our friends here in cars, since they are such a part of life at home for everyone.
we got back and i got a lot of Aesop Rock and French pop from Jen and we went and drank a little on the green. Then we went to One Love. There was an art showing ggoing on, but the Jamaican lady and Amy are tight so she let us set up shop outside under an umbrella and she kept bringing left over platters of food out to us. Then we all ordered jerk chicken and ate plates full of friend plantains and drank water with watermellow. the old lady who was helping Venice serve was really spunky and had waited daily on Vidal Sasson and his mink stole when she worked in a creperie in Toronto. we moved inside once the palce had cleared out and sat on the couches. After offering tea and coffee for the millionth time, Venice brought out some warmed up bread budding and we all gladly accepted. We came back to the dorm and i layed in my bed for about an hour incapacitated because of my bulging stomach.
Yesterday
I went to a Last Supper with most of the regualr crew + ben's crew + his friends from home who i didn't know where with us. Afterwards i went with Kaleigh's car group to the infamous Friendly's for desert. We ate our desearts in teh Zen garden and i couldn't finish. Then I helped Sarah pack stuff into her car and then met people on the field behind the President's house for capture the flag, which didn't happen. But we went to some guys house to plant seeds and tere were a bunch of people sitting aroudn and eating vegan goodies. Eventually i walked back to Wright with Willa, and from there danced and sung our way with some people to a stereotype party at the apartement on teh corner of Florence and Charlotte where i had drawn on the walls before at another party. We sat around in the kitchen with the few people who were already there and ate fondu and drank delicious sangria. this tiny girl with realyl short hair named cahrlie was the hostess and she was so friendly and high energy and cute. She danced with us freshman in the living rooma nd kept putting on great songs. There was a clothign swap in teh adjoining room so everyone kept coming in with crazy outfits. Especially Armen. i chachaed on and off for forever with Nicole. It was a really ncie amoutn of people and a nice atmosphere and the party upstairs got busted not ours so it was fun. tehre was a lot of chocolate covered fruit and vegan truffles. the dancing lasted for hours but we left sometiem close to two to go to Bullock. drunk people had knocked over the recycling bin, so we picked it up and Nicole yelled at some guy who she thought had done it but had not. We went into Josh's room for a minute. We came out and the bins had been tumped over again, paper was everywhere, and the hall was full of people. insanity. i listened to converstains for a long time and me and Emily and becky walked back to Wright eventually.
the day before that.
i somehow ended up in sasha's room which never happens and a few of us sat on a blanket on her floor and talked and ate macaroons and chocolate covered espresso beans. A massage party started and i did not participate, along with Dominic, so i was not alone. I went with Marissa and Abby to the house i went to yesterday night with the seeds (see above) to see Shai's band play, whcih has a name that no one really uses. it was fun and everyone jumped around so much the wooden floor was like a trampoline. after a lot of vegan pizza and awkward standing around, i left with Abbey and Marissa to come back to Wright. I dont remember how, but we ended up lying and sitting and talking in the zen garden, then molly taught us PDQ. I lsot early in each round and once (or twice) sang "I Saw the Sign" with Becky and Abbey and the other people in the looser pot. People did head stands and then a wretling match pile happened. We planned to go to the terrace on top of the UC to smoke, but combined with another group and smoked on the green. I didn't really do much talking during these past two nights, but watching all these people and these grouops that i am not really a part of has been really interesting.
my allergies are realy bad or maybe i am sick. i need to fulfill my allegra perscription right now.
