Sahara...ouch...uhm yeah...I'd revoke some right or something of yours for a 24 hour period but I can't think of anything apropo...Sahara was bad...really and truly seriously bad. No argument with you there.

I didn't see Sahara... Was it as bad as Ishtar?

not quite, but that is a high bar to set...

it comes close, in my opinion.

Clive Cussler will kick your butt for this blasphemy!

he is responsible for Sahara, he has committed crimes against man and nature in making that movie... i owe teh creators of National Treasure an apology, but not Clive.

(and again, bits of sarcasm, as i am not familiar with his novels and can only hope that it was ruined by the movie, rather than already being that bad to begin with.)

the books are awesome. I was amused by the movie.
I think you have to have a certain kind of taste for the ridiculous to enjoy it all.

My error came in that i was thinking of a different movie, which was on cable this morning. Sahara

Now it all makes sense. You're forgiven. :)

i admit my opinion may be based on (unbeknownst to me)incorrect or unsure information, and when i get the correct or sure information i will amend my opinion accordingly

But this is just unAmerican. ;)

I like National Treasure as well.

I like puzzles, history, and Sean Bean. Nick Cage being kinda doofy in that little boy very-aware-of-how-awesome-I-look-right-now I've-always-wanted-to-do-this kind of way is purely a bonus.

We agree then that NT was a good movie and that Sahara sucked big hairy donkey balls! and...from what I hear Clive Cussler completely felt the same way. If I remember correctly he asked that his name be removed from the movie because he did not like the direction they took with the screenplay and a myriad of other issues. There may have even been some litigation involved with all of that too.
