Look! I'm totally not dead!

It's been forever. Really has. And I've had tons of ideas about what I should blog about over the past 300 years since I last posted, but never sat down to do it. I actually wrote an entry, at work, then submitted it, but then it completely disappeared. Right off the radar. No idea what happened to it.

So rather than risk that again, I'll stick to using my laptop at home and writing more directly into my blog. I'll just have to make sure I take the time to do it every once in a while. I have to say though, this laptop is being annoying lately. I re-imaged it, but it still persists that some Window's files are corrupt. How can that be? I just reinstalled everything from scratch! Whatever. I'm ignoring it. Either it'll crash completely and I'll lose everything, or it'll work fine for a long time and still just throw stupid messages while hackers hack it to pieces and destroy my soul.

Since the summer is rerun time for TV we've been watching a ton of movies lately. Plus, I've been reading a ton of books on my Nook Color as well (I know, I mention that thing every chance I get. I just love it so much!). I read the most fascinating book called The Paradox of Choice: Why More is Less. It has, quite frankly, changed how I think about shopping and pretty much all decisions. I really enjoyed it. It was another one of those books that doesn't really teach you anything you didn't alreayd know, but the way it says it makes you think "Of course! Genius!" I highly recommend it.

I've also read a bunch of Sci Fi recently to. They were all free in teh Barnes and Noble store. I don't remember the names of them, and I'm too lazy to go look them up. They were quite good though even though they were free. Apparently you can find really good self-published works.

The studying for my Security+ certification is going way slower than it should. I just can't seem to motivate myself. I was supposed to take the exam this month. I mean, that was my plan. There's no law that says I have to do it this month, but I was hoping to.

Work has been work. It's been busy, but I've become a little more resigned to it. I don't mean that in a bad way. I actually just mean that I've allowed myself to become satisfied with what I have. I still have dreams of doing something different, but for now I'm happy with what I have.

Plus, the guys I work with are really fantastic. They're the type of guys that know a good joke and also know where the line is so they don't go too far. They're responsible about their hateful teasing. Sure, they burned a cross in my cubicle, but the did it in a bucket of sand. THey're not trying to endanger anyone. They're just giving me a hard time for being Jewish. I still feel the love.
