Sooooooo, this is what's bothering me lately. If anyone has been keeping up to date with Christopher Nolan's movie projects then you know about most of the cast selections of his latest to be released next summer movie 'Inception'. Three actors, Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe and Cillian Murphy you already have seen in his Batverse introduced in ' ( Read more... )

No hun, I know how you feel there. But I wouldn't worry so much on it. I read in a magazine a long time back (around the time of dear Heath's passing) that Nolan really truly cared about Heath and didn't know what to do or how to handle his passing. They had been asking him questions about another Batman film and he said because of the success of TDK, mixed with the fact he killed off Harvey and Heath is gone, he didn't want to do another one at the moment. But if he was going to, he said he knew he had lots of other villains to choose from. So it'll be okay. Nobody wants to see him replaced, and quite a few are terrified to take up the role, what with the rumors that it was the pure evil and insanity of the Joker role itself that played a big part in killing Heath. So, I wouldn't let this bother you hun. I'm sure everything will be fine. Ppl just talk way more than they should, is all. I mean come on, for a long time they said Johnny Depp was going to play the Riddler. They also said Matt Damon was to be Captain Kirk. And 1950's ( ... )

Okay, I think you might be jumping the gun and no disrespect, but taking this a bit too much to heart. First off, from what I understand this is not a Batman movie, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe there is still no word whether Nolan will even direct the next Batman film. So, try to keep that in mind.

Secondly, I do understand how you feel, but I disagree with the bandwagon that's going around that would like to believe the Joker will even be in the next Batman film. The only reason the Joker was slated to be in the next one was because of Heath.

Time will tell what will happen, it just appears that Nolan has his faves that he likes to work with and that's all. Nolan is just giving this Joseph Gordon-Levitt kid a chance, that's all. By the end of it, Nolan may not even like working with this guy.

JGL resembles heath a lot, at least physically. ive seen quite a few photoshoots where at first glance im like "holy crap is that heath?!" and then i read further and realize that is not the case.

i havent seen anything about casting JGL as a joker in a nolan film; i agree w/ what thesingingbush said, though. nolan has already said that if he DOES do another batman film, he'd want to do a villain that hasnt been done before in any other batman films but is still somewhat plausible in the universe he has created. so we'll have to see.

no one can ever replace heath, ever.

I would be angry even if Heath Ledger's (theoretical) twin brother tried to play the Joker. It's just not right. What, will they try to play off a back-story for him? Because Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks way too young.

There are worse replacements than Gordon-Levitt, trust in that, but yes, I know exactly what you're saying. I really don't think Nolan would do that. Some other director, maybe, but not Nolan ( ... )
