Joker DOES want a family!

I just watched this clip from the cartoon series, I haven't actually even seen much of it myself to be honest, but I think this is a very interesting clip still...It looks like Joker really does want some kind of a family with Batsy, no matter how fucked up his ideas are, based on this scene anyway. I don't want to make him into some kind of a poor ( Read more... )

Ah, that's from 'Return of the Joker,' which I love. It feels weird, though, to see the ending; I've only ever watched the uncensored version.

I wouldn't say he's misunderstood. :) He's crazy (and sexy), and they both realize it.

Agreed on the crazy and sexy definitely ;) Cartoon Joker is very different from TDK Joker though...Like I said I haven't actually watched the cartoons myself.

Different, yes, but he's bloody amazing.

I didn't fall in love with Joker because of Heath (as brilliant as he was); I'm just plain in love with all his forms. The BtAS version is actually my favorite. He's so insane!

There's an uncensored version of the ending to Return of the Joker? How is it different? :O

I've seen the movie on DVD, but it's been so long, so I'm not sure I'd notice the differences if there were any.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!
Sorry about the language, but that was one of the most messed up things I have ever seen outside of Dark fanfic. R rated movies don't have stuff like that. What series is this from anyway?!

Dude...just...DUDE.

I KNOW!!! Which is why I was like I can't believe this stuff is actually meant for kids!! D:

I feel so sorry for Robin. XD I wonder if they could reverse the changes? Physically, it would be painful...and mentally? I don't know if that's possible.

yes, everyone who's mentioned it are right about where this comes from.

but this is the edited version, and the whole unedited version is much better, not only in how he dies (*tear*) but also in comments he makes to Batman about having spare kids around, and he and Harley wanting a family.

because of Columbine shooting, the original ending was changed.

and Mark Hamil is the reason i love the Joker at all. when i watched the Tim Burton movie, i just thought he was interesting, but my love and adoration came when the animated series began. i've even gotten a plushie made to look like him, and he's just so soft and cuddly...

I was going to say "I DON'T REMEMBER THE JOKER DYING IN THE ANIMATED SERIES CAPSLOCKWHUT??!"

...but then I saw that it was that weird Batman Beyond show. I still love the animated series; that was my childhood c: ... which probably explains why I'm such a weirdo because this was a really dark cartoon.

Heath is still my favorite Joker, but Mark Hamil is still the man.

Heath is the best I agree! This animation Joker seems to be a completely different character with completely different goals...I definitely prefere the Agent of Chaos from TDK myself...I didn't grow up watching the animations. Oh and I also really dislike the Harley Quinn character...there I said it! :/

it's okay to not like Harley. i don't either.

at least, not with the Joker. i think, for the animated series, she fit better with Ivy than she did the Joker.

i'm also hating people wanting to put a Nolanverse spin on Harley. she doesn't fit in there, so quit... there, i said my peace now.

I agree. TDK would shoot her in the head within 5 minutes of meeting Harley. They're two completely different types of crazy.
