hey guys.
so i've been kind of eaten alive by RL lately. thought i'd give a quick update here.
my current status is that my best friend of 10 years and i have both returned to illinois, and are living at my dad's house. we're both working and trying to save up to get an apartment.
as of this past week, i've gotten a second job at the same studio where shayla (my best friend) works. her job pays about $12 an hour and she works 5 days a week. i work there 3 days a week for minimum wage ($8.25/hr) and work at the comic book shop 3 days a week, also for minimum wage. so even though i work 1 more day per week than she does, my paycheck is still, like, $60-80 less than hers, which is really frustrating.
but at least i'm on my way.
oh, and the best part, is that this week my boss at the comic shop couldn't come in today (friday) and so even though fridays should be my one day off, i have to work this one. this is my 7th work day in a row, and i have 6 more after this before i get a day off. i'm SO exhausted. ugh.
but at least this means i'm earning enough that shayla and i can get an apartment, once we've got a bit more in savings. and then i can start up working on my teaching degree.
