School has begun. Luckily, not in real life.
Soooo... the new season of Degrassi aired yesterday evening on MuchMusic. I don't usually follow this show intensely, but, finding myself with nothing to do this morning, I watched the season premiere on their website.

Holly-Jay:
Gets her life ruined again by Daddy's money problems. Bye-bye to going to Yale with Declan.
Declan:
Does not know about this yet. Is worried about Fiona.
Fiona:
Had therapy and is now willing to be friends with Holly-Jay. Gets her first real boyfriend, which worries Declan. Boyfriend is abusive. Fiona gets chance to design new school uniforms for new prep school thanks to said abusive boyfriend. His name is Bobby. What a loser name.
Sav:
Got ditched by his friends 'cause they graduated. Broke up with his non-pregnant girlfriend Anya. So, what to do when you're down? Run against Holly-Jay for Student Council President. Holly-Jay lies and tells him Anya IS pregnant. But she's not.
Anya:
Is not pregnant. Got dumped on prom night by Sav when he thought she was pregnant. Wants Holly-Jay to win. Or, more to the point, Sav to lose.
Dave:
Likes Alli but messed it up by not rigging the system and listing her as the hottest girl in school.
Ms. Oh
The gifted (nerd) class has a new teacher, since Simpson is now principal. She's young but strict enough to teach. Already, she has crushed Dave's spirit with two words.
Dave: *bouncing on new exercise balls used for chairs* "Are you even old enough to teach?"
Ms. Oh: "No bouncing."
Dave: *smile fades away*
Everybody else is just kind of there for this episode. There are 9 new cast members joining the show. One of the new male students looks a little like Lizzie from Life with Derek. Let me compare:
Do you see it? And yes, the one on the left is the boy.
