Give it the old college try
WOO! I've survived my first week of college!
So far, it's not that bad. I like all of my professors and finding my way around has been a breeze. I even have 2 classes with some people I know from High School.
The only down side so far has been the reading. SOOO much reading. Every night and each night coming up. It's ridiculous. The lectures aren't bad at all, but it's keeping up with the matching reading that's going to kill me.
I've also managed to make my first college friend. I'm proud of myself, I thought for sure I'd frighten most people who don't know me off. But anyway, her name's Emily, she's in my Psych class, and she liked the Meat Loaf shirt that I wore one day. Thus our friendship bloomed.
She's living on campus though, and I commute. That really kills me. I don't want to live on campus, but at the same time, all the stuff like clubs and being able to go about and meet new people happen in the evenings, when I'm at home. Damn it, I'm just gonna have to suck it up and get my driver's license so that my parents don't have to drag me around everywhere.
We also got some rain this week. It was much needed, everything was so dry! But, since the leaves were dying due to said dryness, the rain brought a whole bunch of them down early. My allergies are slowly starting to make themselves known.
Other than that, ENJOY THE 3 DAY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!
