It was only a matter of time before the book publishing industry caught up with the DVD industry and started printing "special editions" with "bonus features".

Lewis Shiner has put his latest novel Black & White online as a free download. So of course I went immediately to Subterranean Press and bought the most expensive edition they've printed. OK, all fine and good that I've known paperbacks of Ricky Jay's Cards as Weapons have been selling for more than $200 regularly for years now, and I got my copy autographed by Jay at a reading with Paul Auster some years back, so it's probably worth a bit more. Fine.
