OK, yeah, I could probably type a bunch about what I learned today at the conference, but it's late, so I'll recap the evening instead.
Headed to the French Quarter and a bar & grill called Yo Mama's to see Beth Patterson play. Ate a burger with peanut butter and bacon. Beth sang Weird Al's "One More Minute With You" and played it on Bouzouki with a Celtic rhythm. It was kinda awesome.
I also got her to sing "Bayonet" from the Creevy Keel tape, which almost brought me to tears. Don't think I'd seen her in 13 years. Too long. On the flip side, they ARE looking for a new bass player. 5+ hours IS a commute, but for special occasions, or NTIF, it could happen. :)
Quote of the night: "I'm the grammarian about which your mother warned you."
Ok, now shower, then sleep.
