Weekend update

Oct 01, 2007 16:29

My morning started out with me up at 8am.
I don't remember much, but I found I didn't have my keys.
And I go on bus 40 instead of 10. I had to walk back several blocks to get to a bus stop.

I was frantic about my keys. I even called the hotel in PA!
Yeah, me.
But, part of me seems ready to conquer the world. There is no reason I cannot do anything I set my mind to.

So, how was my weekend?
Good.

See you all . . .
Wait, what? You want to know?
Hmm. Okay.

Friday night, we left from SEL at 5pm. Didn't get to PA 'til 11 or so, I believe. We pulled into the parking lot of the hotel and I knew . . . I knew someone was waiting. We got out of the car and as Cassie opened her trunk we heard "Nasty Fish!" and Cassie squeal in fright.
Gerry sauntered across the parking lot, took the luggage and set off for the hotel.

Ended up going to see his hidden treasure trove of fanciful treasures! I've decided I just want him for all of his fun stuff! Swords and books and dvds and his 360. ;p

I got back at about 3am and Cassie laughed at me. I have the feeling I was, as Elder would say, glowing.

Saturday morning, Gerry appeared again and we followed him to his house where his mother made us waffles. ("We can swap manly stories, and in the morning, I'm makin' waffles!") We got a tour of the upstairs area (more books and swords and his 360!) and waited for Jen and Jason to appear.

Then Gerry got disgruntled because no one was making a decision.
But we went bowling. I got a strike! And Gerry got three. I think I owe him for each of those.
Although, come to think of it, I wonder if I owe him at all anymore . . .

Anyways! Cassie went to see her dad and the rest of us went to Gerry's. I got very sick in the backseat because of Jason's driving. Then we went to the Waterfront. Ate at Steak & Shake, went to a Halloween store, then walked into Dave & Busters, only to walk right back out again. It was wall to wall people!
So, then, Gerry and I were dropped off at his house and we meandered back over to Jen and Jason's to play D&D. They were too tired to, so I was taken back to my hotel at midnight, ish.
Almost five hours later, Gerry went home.

Sunday morning at 10, I promptly woke up and realized that I none of the alarms I set went off. You have to turn them on to do that. *cough*
I just got out of the shower when Gerry appeared to take me away from there.
We went to the mall and walked around for a while.

We all met up at Eat N' Park and ate with my mom. I miss that old lady. She was oddly openly affectionate.

At 2:30, we split up again. I found myself almost propelled into Gerry's van and taken to his house. We watched the second part of the Return of the King 'cept I think I watched a whole five minutes of it total.

We were to meet Cassie at 5. It was more like 6:15.

I have some advice to all of you: Never get involved in a long distance relationship. It will rip you apart. Every time we have to part, it's like . . . driving a sword into your stomach. Not enough to kill you, but it hurts like hell. But when you meet back up, the wound heals and everything is better . . . then you get ripped up again. And again. And again.

I hate not having control over my situation. We won't see each other until the end of this month. Argh!
But we will survive.
I hope.
