I had an awesome dream last night, where I discovered I had a super power. It was basically the opposite power of the character from the Wanted comic book. I was not invulnerable, but I, through controlled actions, could not be harmed by any means. It was like having super-speed/reflexes, except it only applied to not being injured. Could I deflect bullets with a butter knife? yes. Could I deflect them back at my attacker? no, well maybe by pure chance if there were enough bullets. I got to use this power against a mob-esque host of escalating villains. It was both ridiculous and awesome. I actually killed my opponents, which since I was only as skilled at that as in real life, occasionally took comically long, considering what they were throwing at me. Like the part where there were three guys with a combination of pistols, SMGs and bowie knives and all I had was a razor blade. A... lot... of blood by the time that was done.
I guess technically I was a hero in this dream because me and a few friends had stumbled into some warehouse that the mob owned where we accidentally saw something we weren't supposed to and I used my power to hold of the escalating bad guys as my friends escaped. But I honestly had a good chance of escaping too, and stayed to make sure because I just felt an overwhelming urge to try out this power and try to take it to the limits for the sheer fun of it. Which I never reached, even against the one actually super-powered bad guy I fought at the end who had black armor, an enormous 6 1/2 foot sword, and was super-strong. As in: strong enough to toss a 200 lb man into the air with one hand and to smash through concrete with single swing of his sword. I defeated him with one of the bowie knives from the earlier fight.
I'm curious though how the power would have worked against non-reflex related scenarios though, like being trapped in a steel cell as it fills up with liquid (water, acid, etc.).
