I agree completely. It's a rather typical Daily Mail article, with a lot of "facts" made up or thrown together from earlier stuff.

Except he's talked about being completely white in a recent Attitude magazine interview (they don't make their quotes up, I know people who write for them) and has talked about how he DOES use Botox umpteen times, starting with an interview in "new!" magazine two years ago which is quoted by this article. The Mail is shit, but none of this is lies - or at least if they are, they're lies from John's own mouth, compiled.

John was on This Morning, I think it was, last year to promote I Am What I Am, and was comparing his roots (!) with Phillip Schofield, who is completely grey-haired. That was when he told the story about shaving his head while on holiday, but Scott saying that he wasn't ready for John to have grey hair. As for the Botox, yes John has used it in the past. He discussed this in response to a question at a talk during the Cheltenham Literature Festival in 2008. He specifically said that he'd had it around his eyes, but not on his forehead.

The Mail article lifts quotes from "Attitude" magazine, where John says "I'm completely white" during his interview.

Wow that article takes a lot out of context and makes it seem like John's some kind of old man who uses Botox to make himself look more like his boyfriend, who is actually older than he is.

As far as his 'white' hair goes, he's going gray. He said in a recent interview about DH that they asked him not to dye his hair. Pictures here therefore, is his natural shade. Gray around the temples. More than a few gray strands up top, but definitely not completely white.

Just putting in my two cents.

The After Elton pictures show John on set for DH - once the colourist had done his/her work. That colour is out of a bottle too :o) John is actually VERY grey - in fact, in the "Attitude" interview the DM quotes from he says that he's "completely white".

I suspect it's all in the genetics - it is quite likely that John's dad and/or mom went grey/white early and therefore John's hair has followed suit.

My grandfather had a completely white head of hair by the time he was 23 years old. My father had grey in his hair when he was in junior high and by the time he was 60 his hair was snow white - although for a good 20 years prior to that he had more grey/white than black.

I had grey my hair starting in high school now approaching 50 I have a LOT of grey hair.

Genetics win out.

I have no issues with John dying his hair - if it makes him happy and hurts no one else then what's the issue. If or when he decides to go natural - that'll be his decision as well. Richard Gere is still sexy as hell with grey/white hair; the same can be said for Mark Harmon.

Its your typical DM shit. They couldn't get there facts right if it bit them. I am not surprised that he is grey because he is dark haired. One of my aunts who has very dark hair went grey in her 20s so its nothing new. As for botox, he has used it in the past but as you can tell by the DH pics, that he doesn't use it as much or at all because he has lines around his eyes.

The only good thing out of it is a nice ( one i haven't seen before ) pic of john and scott.

I think "completely white" might be a little far-fetched (probably more the salt and pepper look if he stopped dyeing it now), but I guess he'll get white in a not toooo distant future. Still, that could look interesting (thinking of P. Schofield here) - and if he comes after his dad hair-wise, at least he doesn't need to worry about going bold ;)

John describes himself as "completely white". I have to admit I'd love to see his natural hair colour.

I agree with jennelldhalrbj above, it's probably hard to tell the real colour from just looking at the roots. So "completely white", "grey" or "salt & pepper" (heavy on the 'salt' part ;) ) could be hard to tell if he does not repeat the experiment from a few years back. But if he does that, he really should take a picture for us to see. I'd love to see it as well :D
