Branson, Cake class.
Took a little trip to Branson, Mo. Went to see Mickey Gilley. He put on a good show. Had tickets to Silver Dollar City, but gave them to my niece, whom lives about an hour away from Branson. Tried a new pasta dish, which was really pretty good. I think I needed a change. The restaurant was down in Historic Down Town. Then we also ate at Peppercorns. They weren't very impressive at all. I think my favorite was the Hard Luck Cafe there on the strip. Good food and your wait staff entertained you by singing. Our waiter came and sat at our table to sing, enjoyed. We just looked around, nothing special, just needed to get away for a few days. It was a nice 4 day mini vacation.
Last day of the first course in cake decorating was last night. We made roses. You could tell mine was roses, they didn't look to bad, but I do need some pratice. Just haven't had the extra time, between work, watching kids, little things like that. I guess my cake wasn't to bad. I think Sherry's was the best this week. I had it the class before. Next saturday we start on our course 2. Learn more flowers. I do good leafs, roses are ok, sweet peas are alright, I just don't care for their looks.
