Odd things happen when you try to have pics for most major NPCs in your game.
So last week Monday or Tuesday, I forget which, I was looking for pics for Scion: Rada's Day of the Centipede story. I forget the exact phrase I googled(Polynesian? Hawaiian Native? Hawaiian lady?) as I googled several but I wound up seeing (and downloading, I d/led a lot of pics as I tend to at a given Google crawl, like around 30) a pic of a women who seemed charming, did not stand out especially, not one I used but you know goes in the pic folder right?
Fast forward to this week, maybe 1 week later or 6 days. Having just re-re-re-e-re watched The Granada Boscomb Valley Mystery Sherlock Holmes episode with Jeremy Brett (I watch those every night before we play Castle Falkenstein) I observed that Joanna Roth was quite charming, and decided to GIS her to see if I could find a pic of her from the production. (answer: no)
I see a familiar pic. Damn familiar. I recall staring at it trying to recollect where I had seen it. I went to the webpage, and it was of Joanna Roth. Not the Joanna Roth from the Granada Holmes episode, different one. And I knew, I knew I had seen it before. It was slaying me because I had seen it recently. But I had no reason to have seen a Seattle divorce attorney's pic, given I was neither seeking a divorce nor even lived on that side of the USA.
After staring at it for some time, I went though my pics I had D/led recently and there it was, among the Hawaiian pics for Scion. Apparently Ms. Roth the divorce attorney is Polynesian.
So this Seattle Divorce Attorney who I never heard of turned up on two GISs a week apart despite me not googling anything about divorce or Seattle, first because of her ethnicity and second because she had the same name as the celebrity from the Sherlock Holmes mystery I happened to watch tonight and then for the first time of the like 3 times I have seen it on Netflicks (I have seen all of them at least once on Netflicks now, most 2-3 times, not to mention the 10000 times I saw them on TV) I decide to look and see if there were any pics of her from the show on Google.
Life is strange.
