My roommate David talks in his sleep, a lot. I consider it unusual when a night goes by where he hasn't spoken in his sleep. He always says some pretty weird stuff, and last night he was pretty talkative. There was a point where he talked for about half minute (30 - 40s) straight. Everything he says is usually just indistinguishable blather. Or maybe it's in Korean now that I think about it. Korean would make sense because he speaks that as a second language. Anyway, he was speaking something I couldn't understand for about 30seconds, but the last thing he said, and the only sentence I could understand, was "I never tied up the things, but he had peanuts and I've never had peanuts." I laughed so hard I nearly woke him up.
A couple of weeks ago, while sleeping, he suddenly said "yo fuck you man!" He sat up for a moment, paused, then began chuckling with a big grin on his face. I am watching wide-eyed at this point. He swings his feet over the side of the bed, stands up and begins rubbing the back of his head while scanning the ground with his eyes as if looking for something. He paces the room, twice. By pace, I mean walk the perimeter of the room. He sits back on the bed and rubs the back of his head while chuckling and mumbling something I can't understand. Then he went back to sleep.
I'm gonna try talking back to him next time.
