Flashback to 1999

I had my highschool 10 year reunion over the weekend.

Nothing really has changed, and I am pretty much not surprised. Got stuck talking to one or two girls I really DID NOT want to see... one ex-wannabe-model complete with ditzy hairflick and empty-grin-and-stare-to-ceiling "UMMMM yeaaah I'm in saaaaaales"..... then me interrupting and saying "sorry, would you excuse me?" and just walking away. Urgh.

I went with a friend, a girl I was friends with before and we've recently reconnected, who had the same mentality as me. Didn't care then, don't care now. She didn't even dress up - showed up in jeans haha. She's quite a smoker now, so at least I always had a safe point cuz I could find her outside when I did the laps and reminded myself whyyyyy I came. I got a little dressy in a black dress and heels, so at least I showed more attractive than I did back 10 years ago!

Only saw about 2 or 3 other people that I hadn't seen in a long time that were actually awesome to talk to. They now get fb friending privaledges (I deleted just about everyone -+50 - from highschool a couple years ago) haha so that was actually nice and cool to see them again.

After the "Soooo, what are you doing now?" conversation with most people, there was nothing to talk about. Boring! Off I trotted outside to everyone else I was happy to see.

Two postive comments I received were "wow, your haircut is so cool!" ... got that from a few people, and I loved it. Even though I'm due for a haircut it's so "long" to me! The other comment was in response to the work I'm doing right now. I'm sooo glad I took a wad of business cards!! I love my cards cuz they have pics of my products on the back so it's easier to explain and show what "I run a webstore where I make beanies for skiiers and snowboarders" means. I know it totally sounds like I invented post-it notes, right?

One girl at the end even said "Are these business cards from MOO?" omg.. yes?! And then... "wow I LOOOOOVE etsy!!!" ... I was floored. Nobody I've met ever knows what Etsy is - let alone wildly guess where I got my cards made!

Thankfully my friend's bf drove us both in and picked us up so I saved alot of precious money in transport that night. Just had alot of drinks - including shots together because we really needed the night to go faster. Midnight Maccas on the drive home and a day spent on the couch yesterday completed my weekend. Murghhh..

school, stuff, drinking
