I can say that so far I am very happy with my camera purchase. There is very little delay - considerably alot less than my SP560 - between button press and capture. Just about none, really. This makes me very pleased!
I've been monitoring my new rose bush that Mum bought for me not long ago, and I've got about 5 buds already! I've been watching it with much interest as it gets warmer and it's come into so many leaves (when i got it, it was only twigs!!) and there's one bud that's almost fully open... perfect photography testing item!
Imageshack was having a big fat poo about me uploading the full versions, but I can upload (probably) if you really want them.
Testing the zoom:
Fully out
10x zoom in
I've also discovered a "Beauty" feature on the selection wheel... and this made me very curious. Apparently it smooths skin and makes eyes sparkle and some other junk... it generally makes the person in the portrait more "beautiful" haha... yeah, can you believe it! So... a perfect moment to test it is straight after coming home from the gym, all stinky and unmade and sweated off makeup.
All this occurs IN camera, over about 5-10 seconds, with some glittery animation and diagonal slides as it processes the image. It keeps both images on the memory card. Interesting!
I took a shitload of macro and super macro shots because I basically am obcessed with it. All very very nice.. and I can safely say this was an EXCELLENT impulse buy. I love it! Woot for the Olympus Mju-9000.
