And my head I'd be scratchin'
Hi, I threw my purse into a dumpster this morning. What did you do?
The short story: I gathered up my bags of trash, headed out to the dumpster, got in the car and reached over for my purse...which was not there. So not wanting to believe, I went back up to my house, looked around the short list of places I had been, and did not find my purse that I knew I had 5 minutes before.
Still not wanting to believe, but out of other options, I went back to the dumpster and looked inside, and there, boys and girls, was my purse. Luckily it was high enough and still upright so that I didn't actually have to go dumpster diving.
I figure my day can only get better! Just now I can hear my two neighbors talking outside my window:
"Where are you going?"
"Nowhere. I'm going to my car because I can't find my glasses. If it's not one thing lost, it's another."
I want to shout at them, "At least you didn't throw your purse in a dumpster!"
