Time flies

Wow, 3 months without updating. Where did the time go? I've been distracted with various things, I guess. Been playing World of Warcraft again, doing stuff IRL, and slacking off on catching up on TV shows. Take your pick. I started avoiding LJ to avoid spoilers, and ended up ignoring it for a while. But now I've found a way to put my flist on my RSS feed, so I should get back into replying to people's entries again.

Real life stuff has been fun. Mostly. Some stresses here and there with so many things going on: making a carnival booth last month, doing stuff with friends that didn't always go smoothly, and normal school/job stuff. I've recontracted another year, so I guess I'm finding some kind of balance. I got lovely packages from moustachios and proanon a few days ago, and they made my week. There's nothing like getting candy, tea, and Gaiman books in the mail to make a not-so-good week better.

Will post some more fandom-ish comments when I finish catching up on the last few season finales. But for now:

COMIC CON NEXT MONTH!

I'm getting to the point where it finally feels like it's happening, and I'm thrilled about that. If all goes well, I'll be arriving in San Diego on the evening of the Monday before CC. So I'll have a day or two to do stuff in the city beforehand this time. I'm looking forward to seeing you LJ people again. Hanging out with all of you was one of the best things about CC last year, can't wait to see what this year brings. I'd camp out in a lineup with you any time. :)

In random news: there was a fire a few blocks from my brother's apartment back home. He emailed me pictures of streets filled with smoke. Though seeing as it's downtown of the foggiest city in Canada, the only thing that made it different from most OTHER days was that it smelled like a campfire.

real life, comic con
