I visited three schools this week, and apparently two of them reported cases of swine flu today. Japan is paranoid about colds and flus anyway - it seems like I can't even sniffle without five different people telling me I should go to the hospital - but they're even more paranoid than usual when it comes to swine flu. If I start to come down with anything, my supervisor told me to call in sick right away, get checked out at the clinic, and stay home on sick leave for a few days. I already get sick enough in the fall and winter, the last thing I need is H1N1 jumping into the mix. There's a lot of reasons it sucks to teach at 13 different schools, and that's one of them: you're exposed to 13 schools' worth of cold and flu germs.
I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't like The Guild. I watched the first two seasons, but the only thing I've liked was the
Do You Want To Date My Avatar video.
THIS, on the other hand, makes me ridiculously excited. RandomGuy's Marvel/DC videos always make my day, and I'm more excited about season 3 of After Hours than I am about a lot of the actual shows I watch. (And an episode of
Rorschach & Deadpool wouldn't hurt either, LOL.)
My laptop battery's decided to crap out on me. Mostly. It will only reach 60% power before it stops accepting a charge, and it won't let me charge my spare optical bay battery while the bitchy main battery is plugged in. I just replace the AC adapter over the summer, now this? It seems like my laptop's starting to come apart piece by piece. Makes me glad I bought that netbook over the summer, so it can be my wee blue backup if the laptop decides to spontaneously combust.
