da happs, now with bullets!
So I've been quiet as alot has gone on this week. I'm headed out for a double at FCC in the hopes that I can earn a little extra cash this week and stop having to worry so much about all things financial..it's worth a try right.
What's been up, with assistance from my lovely friend...the bullet:
- Viewed Randolph Condo twice this week.
This was awesome as my Dad (construction consultant of 30 years & architect) came out to do a walk-through with Mike and I. It was hilarious and very cool to see my dad in his element. From opening up a hole in the basement to check out potential water-damage to using an infared lazer to read the water tempature coming out of the faucet...he had that shit on lockdown. lol. I'll admit it too, seeing my dad and Mike chitty-chat about all things house/ all things domestic kinda made me a little swoony. :) Besides, Dad was happy to help and he always comes through when I need something important. We're see where it all goes, as we're still on the fence about buying vs apartments. Thoughts?
- Did two interviews with Panera for their Catering Coordinator position.
I ended up turning this one down yesterday after being seriously low-balled. Try as I might, I couldn't get the pay up any higher than bare bones (BTW: who pays CHUMP CHANGE for THAT MUCH WORK?!). All in all though, it was a confidence booster to know that there are some jobs still out there and I still have what it takes to be considered for them. Now if I could only find something salary and exciting. I'm done line cooking, pretty much all around burnt out, but what can you do besides throw your resume out there and hope? I've applied to EVERYTHING and anything I might have the slightest bit of interest in. From Fish Monger to Cooking Instructor...there were even a few jobs outside of the culinary biz (eep!). We'll see.
- Had a long chat with the other half of my DNA set
(aka: my brother) late last night about a ton of things, mostly the chick he's seeing who also happends to be a former friend of mine. Try as I may, I can't seem to get along with the girl. I feel better after the chat though as he's not as serious about her as I thought, and it helped to clear the air a bit. We'll see what happends, but for now we need some WonderTwins quality time.
In other news...I'm FN insane in love. Just thought ya'll should know. :)
