Uni life...
Hey it's me you remeber me, right? Anyway I finally found my way to the computer room on campus. Still no internet in rooms yet a problem for all of us in my hall due to Middlesex's server being crap but hey hopefully I will in a few weeks time. I dont really know where to start as I've done so much. Partyed more than I should have for the first few weeks as my bank balance will clarify so I'm gonna try and settle down with it all. I've made lots of friends very few are into my sorta music in fact none of them are really but nevermind they're still pretty interesting and some have potential. The people I live with I see as my main friends and we've kinda formed a little social circle :
Alec
He's the first person I met in the kitchen us Landsdowne residents all share and love. He's is twenty, doing Fine Art and listens to Trance music. However he is not how you might picture that sort of person to be. He's really guinine and a great laugh. Even more of a heavy drinker than me and a womanizer despite his girlfriend who visits from time to time. He's very blokey but in some ways he's not so maybe he'll be one of the few blokes in the world I dont wanna kill.
Rachel
She's 24, doing Journalism and communications (compeltely different from my course honest), is vegetarian, has red hair and listens to random music some I like for example the Foo Fighters others I dont like Coldplay (shudder). Anyway to start with I really got on with her she's quite motherly and kinda like Chloe in some ways. Though recently she's showed some annyoying tendencies like analyzing everyone and discusing it behind everyones back although she cant take critism for pancakes. Still she can be good to talk to if you get her alone though of recent she doesn't seem very interested in talking to me. Is having a melodrama about Simon after they snogged the other night. And she calls me Neurotic.
Sobia
She's 18 (Yay one of the few youngsters), doing teaching English as a Foreign Language and Spanish and likes really bad pop music but does like No Doubt. She has to be the person I get on with the most. We've become quite close mates she shares my random scense of humour and we delight in playing pranks on our fellow flat mates at 3am. Strangely she's teetotal but still comes out with us and has a laugh. Honest and she has a bitchy side like me and of recent shares my annoyance with Rachel. I feel oddly comfortable with her and we fell asleep in each others arms at a slumber party I had.
Simon
He turned 20 the other day, is doing Creative Writing although he's only been to one lesson, likes Trance and other crap too.He's a northener and pretty heavy on the drugs but is still a good laugh. Dont seem him very often especially if his gf is visting. Is really anoyed at Rachel.
Nic
Is 20 something, is doing fine art and listens to Trance music (is that a pre-requeste for Fine Art students are something). Is a mad womanizer but is very deep. He is interesting converstion and laid back unless you really piss him off then he is alittle pshyco. He puts up with Mike's bullshit less than anyone.
Mike
Is 20, doing something to do with Politics and listens to hard house and randome other stuff. Has the most annoying personality in the world. First I though he was just a joker but then he goes on and on. Been refered to by many as a camp Eli J. He's everything a phobic. Still when he's guinine he's ok and I feel sorry for him the way everyone rips into him. I stopped someone spiking his drinks with Laxatives the other night and make an enemey. The other night he called me a Satanist so I dont think he really understands what a Pagan is.
Eric
A second year who is twenty something, doing politics and something or other. He's laid back and seems alot older than us. Abit of a druggy but is interesting though alittle too honest perhaps even arrogant and opinounated. Into Shamananism and is good to talk to about Pagan stuff although he is abit stuck in his ways.
Patrick
Is doing fine art and is 19 I think. Dont know much about him but he is good mates with Eric and is the latest in Rachel's obbessions. God help him.
Strangely most my mates are men. The people on my course are pretty kewl and I've made other mates in the style of friends from the colly but the above are the main people I hang around with back on campus. I've made lots of friends and enemys and it'll be interesting to see how things form. Must admit i miss my old friends and sometimes I've been abit reserved here as I always am with new people (when sober). Hope things turn out as good as my college years.
So much as happened since I got here so here are some the best:
First night: Met Alec and his girlfriend Lucy who is just visiting him. Then met Simon and we went down our small but homely student bar. Got abit drunk so decided to go to a random Reggae club down the road. Was muchly weird us being the only white people there and a few weeks later someone got there eyes gouged out there. Yikes dont think Tottenham is a good place to go out around. Broke the ice well tonight.
Introduction lecture at Harlow: Got up early and met up with some random people I met from my course when drunk (since only one swedish girl is the only person in my hall doing Journalism). When I got there we were split into three groups since the journalism course is so big and none of the people I met were in my group. I met new peeps who seemed ok although most donbt live on campus so the people in my hall are more likely to be my closer friends.
Slumber Party: Lots of people came round my room after the bar closed due to the fact I have a TV, a PC, A N64, a freezer with baileys and vodkain, a microwave and is quite large. Those who stayed late after much drinking (and other) fun was had all paired off. I fell alseep huggin Sobia although nothing happened between us it was still nice.
Electric Ballroom: Alec, Mike, Neil (some annoying bloke off my course) and I went out to Electric Ballroom in Camden and got wasted. I danced to a mixture of trance, industrial, punk and metal stuff. Was refreshing to dance to some stuff I know and love. I think I enjoyed the night more than the others. I wish I had one mate who enjoyed my music like I do. I spent £40 but it was worth it.
Cheap Skates: Went to a random club in Soho that is a strip club on most night but not the night I went on. It was a student night were drinks are 60p each!!! Alec, Lucy, Simon, Eric and I went and we all got wasted as per usual. Had much funand they played some good music which was unexpected amongst the cheese. On the way back Eric dragged us round Leciester Square looking for dodgy dealings. Was a weird exeprience.
Short time at home: Got to say goodbyes to Chloe will miss her lots. I went for a drink with my dad starnge how I get on with him more now I dont live at home. I also met up with Leanne which was weird although I think I may still like her.
Freshers Ball: It was a bad taste party hosted by the bloke from funhouse so I dressed up in one of my dad's shirts and cut up jeans. The whole Landsdowne possy went and we all got very drunk barr Sobia. I did embarrasing things on the stage involving passing vodka between peoples' mouths. I spent most the night with a girl called Anna from our campus although I dont remeber if anything happened. I think her friend told her I dont remeber so I dont thin she's talking to me.
Simon's Birthday: We went for a chinese in Edmenton then returned to the halls for getting stoned, pissed and party games. Was muchly fun and I had a chat with Sobia.
Trip to Tape: The day after SImon's birthdayI went to the tape with Sobia, Rachel, Patrick and Eric. I was hypnostized by many things and then we went across the beautiful millenium bridge and went around St Pauls' although not to the top as that cost money. Only today did I relaize how beautiful London can be. We stopped off at Leciester Square on the way back which also hypnostized me.
Other good and bad stuff has happened since I've been here but I've already said so much. Adepting to this new life is had but I think things will take shape. I'm going to Bournemouth this weekend to see Fran and go to a beacj party and kingship is coming up to so things are goign to be eventful. I better get my head down and do some work though as I was ill the other day and missed some lessons.
