Merry Christmas!
Well okay, a day late. But it still counts!
D and I went to a friend's parents place for Christmas eve/morning, which was fun because the Friend has a couple of kids, and it's been years since I've been around kids that young on Christmas morning. We were sharing a room with the kids, and it was so cute, listening to them "whisper" about whether Santa has come and if it's okay to go downstairs now. And then having them come charging back upstairs after they finally venture down to tell us all about Santa coming and what snacks he ate and the note he left behind for them. It was so cute!
And then after lunch, we drove out to D's best friend's place for dinner and drinks. Which was fun, but of course I started to lose the battle I've been having with a cold, and basically became a lump on the couch. And then D's best friend got a stomach bug and spent the next while alternating between bed and the bathroom, so we declared the day done and D and I went home. Oh well, next time.
Overall, it was a good Christmas. :) Would've been better if I could've drank some of the tasty drinks D kept making!
