So I'm unemployed again. Got laid off because of a bunch of stuff at the mine. NOT about me though, just stuff I don't feel comfortable talking about until the Company puts out their own public statement. But regardless, I had a great experience at the mine and learned so much, especially these last 4 months working in the exploration division. And my hard work there paid off, because I've walked away with 3 senior people (including the General Manager of the mine) as references, and each of them have put me in touch with possible employers.
All in all, not a bad way to leave a job.
While all of the craziness was happening, I shot off a quick application for a temp job that I didn't expect to hear back from at all. Well, they just called me back while I was Christmas shopping this afternoon, and now I have a job interview tomorrow over the phone afternoon.
Huh.
