Here is My Life.

May 07, 2005 13:57

There comes a time in every persons life, when they experience a profound change of sorts. I believe mine has come recently, and I can attribute it to an overall sense of not caring about many things. When you think about, it's like the Bohemian Rhapsody states, "Nothing really matters." Maybe such a mindframe is a problem, as it causes me to ( Read more... )

I think this pretty much sums up our phone conversation and all after school conversations as of late. Good job. We will all eventually realize "Its just highschool."

I agree with 98% of this post, especially the part about grades/school. However I've been pondering this idea for quite some time: It IS just high school. These are the biggest issues that our day-to-day lives bring us right now (aside from things that will happen whether we're in high school or not). We shouldn't stress about them, we should have fun with them. It's kind of a Lauren Rossnan take on it: don't take it seriously, have fun with it.

Basically, I condone not stressing about anything, whether you're stressing about petty drama or stressing about people who stress over petty drama. ;)

That being said, kudos on a damn good post.

best-link-ever.
ever.
This was a damn good post. High school is dramatic, and nothing will change that. However, the degree of how much it affects us is up to us. If you want to ignore the drama, that's fabulous and I'm proud of you.

why do people find it necessary to blow even the littlest of things up and make a huge deal out of them?
Sorry if that was a rhetorical question, but really, too much pretty teen tv dramas. The OC, One Tree Hill.. etc. Those shows are fun to watch, but they're an escape from reality, not an example of how it should be. Most girls in high school aren't smart enough to distinguish the difference between the two, so everything has to be dramatic and carried out with flawless skin, hair, nails, and style. I don't know-- that's just my take on it (even though I've been guilty of this a few times).

Count your blessings, you're a straight A student and in the Spanish Honors Society. I have a 3.4 and feel like a dumbass. But yes, if Wootton had a head, it would be rather inflated.

You just summed up why high school sucks right there. I give you mad props for it.
