i can't believe i've never invested in an icon about what a bag of dicks dumbledore is.
01. i have, in fact, watched that damion suomi video approximately a million times this weekend. i spent at least an hour this morning saying "i'm gonna hit play then get out of bed while i listen to it" but instead pressing play and then watching it again. IT IS JUST SO GOOD. (so is this one.)
02. yesterday i watched the first half of firefly while i made earrings. spoilers: it is still the best! i didn't get through as much as thought i would have because i didn't want to walk away from the tv while it was on and get other stuff done. also the new earring recipe is SO MUCH EASIER yet still adorable.
03. i also went to borders yesterday morning, since i had other errands to run over there and the closing sales have begun. i picked up a bunch of books i had been planning on buying anyway (the book thief, i am the messenger, changeless, and blameless), another ruby oliver book, and the quidditch/beasties hp companions. and new moleskins. saaaaaale! i probably won't go back until everything drops to 75%+ off, since i do not actually NEED more books. plus now i really need to reorganize my shelves, because stuff no longer fits, AGAIN. sigh.
04. still chugging along on criminal minds. i watched "100" today. HOOOOOOOOOTCH D: i was really concerned that foyet would be holding jack when hotch shot him. FORTUNATELY THEY DID NOT GO THERE. still. STILL. there was a lot of yelling and hand-wringing and hiding my eyes. also, rossi, get off twitter when you are being interrogated! god! also HOTCH. IN THE CAR. ON THE PHONE. :( :( :(
05. next week is going to be Exciting. we're getting a visitor! there will be lots of exciting shenanigans and fun times! we're going to see the get up kids and the mintigs on thursday! i have no idea what my work schedule looks like! weeeeeee!
06. i've been listening to a lot of the remus lupins lately. this is giving me lots of thoughts about wizard rock (mostly where it will be in ten years, and how much i would like to read a book about it), basslines (the bassline in "seven potters" you guys, ugh SO GOOD), and how much i hate albus dumbledore. this probably deserves a post of its own, but OH WELL.
did sirius get a trial? i can't really remember, but i feel like he did not. assuming that he didn't (and even if he did, it doesn't really matter), he was imprisoned for 12 years for a crime he did not commit. whereas snape, who ALSO never stood trial, was never sent to jail even though he surely committed several crimes. why did snape never serve time? because albus fucking dumbledore took his word for it and defended a fucking death eater so that he never had to pay for the crimes he committed. but sirius, who was a member of the order, never even got a chance to defend himself. this is all obviously COMPLETE BULLSHIT.
but here's the real kicker: everyone's always going on about trusting dumbledore's judgment, he obviously has a handle on things, he's so ~amazing~ and whatnot. so why the fuck did he condemn sirius and trust peter? this man is going to give me a rage blackout, and he's been dead for YEARS. (also fictional, yes, i know. i can't be the only person who has rage blackouts because of fictional douchebags though!)
